Port Automation and Engineering specialist Orbita Ports&Terminals and leading cargo handling solutions provider Kalmar, part of Cargotec, have signed a global agreement for co-operation between the two companies that includes an exclusive Agency agreement which ensures Kalmar the rights to represent and market Orbita automation systems as part of Kalmar’s automation portfolio.
The agreement includes an agency contract that gives Kalmar worldwide exclusive representation of Orbita’s automation solutions such as GateSuite and CraneSuite, including Gate OCR and Crane OCR solutions, Kiosk systems, Truck Positioning for STS cranes and Automatic Damage Detection in Gates. Both Companies see this co-operation agreement as a great opportunity to complement their respective offering. Orbita, a young emerging company which is driven by engineering and technology, join forces with two purposes: the joint development of new automation systems and the improvement of the global reach in terms of port automation offering.
